Crethie Storey Spence age 83, of Williamston, NC passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015.
She was also predeceased by her first husband Lensie Edward White, her second husband Frank Spence, a brother, Parker Storey and a sister, Melba Simon.
Crethie graduated from East Carolina University with a Master’s Degree in Psychology. She taught for many years in public schools and later was a councilor at Martin Community College. She was also a member of Republican Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Ellen Searles (Bill), Kay Bunch (Gene), all of Littleton, NC and Susan Butler (Rhea)of Williamston, NC. Four grandchildren, Robert Bunch, Jason Bunch, Garland Butler and Justin Searles. Three great grandchildren, Lynnsie Butler, Brooke Butler and Madison Butler. Her brothers, Ronald Storey (Joyce) of Conway, NC and Steve Storey (Jean) of Jackson, NC. Her sister, Carolyn Thompson of Conway, NC. Also many special friends including Jim Scott.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with Mr. Freddie Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Hoggard Cemetery in Lewiston, NC.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 15, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Massey Funeral Home in Jackson, NC.
