Mr. Willie Newell Parrish age 73, of Henderson, NC, and formerly of Seaboard, NC, passed away Friday, September 25, 2015 at his home.
Mr. Parrish was born December 3, 1941 in Franklin County, NC, the son of the late John Parrish and Gladys Overby Parrish. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Rebecca Davis Parrish, a brother, John Willard Parrish and a sister, Dora Ann Edwards. He worked for Watson Chevrolet for 37 years and after that he worked at Gay Implement Company and then at Steel Creek Marina in Townsville (Henderson).
He is survived by his wife Dilda Parrish. His children, Keith Parrish and his wife Gay of Seaboard, NC, Kimberly Parrish Roberts and her husband Joe of Florida, Travis Bullock and his wife Erika of Mooresville, NC and Letitia Bullock and Brian Tippett of Concord, NC. His brothers , William “Shorty” Parrish and his wife Maranda of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Harold Parrish and his wife Barbara of Lawrenceville, VA, Thomas “Tom” Parrish and his wife Francis of Gaston, NC and his sister Minnie Marie Whitehead and her husband Sam of Florida. Five grandchildren, Tara Price, William “Will” Price and his wife Katherine, Jennifer Parrish Langley, Amber Kramer and her husband Richard and Robert Pavey. Five great grandchildren, Anthony Price, Lil Gene Langley, Ashton Langley, Abbigal Kramer and Lil Richard Kramer. Also his special nurse and companion "Miss Bet".
Graveside services will be held Sunday, September 27, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Conway Cemetery, Conway, NC with Rev. Ricky Barnes officiating.
The family will receive friends at Massey Funeral Home in Jackson, NC, Sunday, September 27, 2015 from 1:00 until 2:30 PM and other times at the home of Keith and Gay Parrish.
