Mr. Willard James Hargrove Sr. age 87, of Jackson, NC passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids, NC.
He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Rubylean Williams Hargrove.
Mr. Hargrove owned Hargrove’s Garage in Portsmouth, VA, for a number of years.
He was a proud member of US Marine Corps and a member of Grace Baptist Church in Rich Square, NC.
He is survived by his wife, Hetty H. Hargrove, his sons, W.J. Hargrove Jr. and his wife Becky, Robert Hargrove and his wife Joyce and Bruce Hargrove. His stepchildren, June Wilson and her husband Bob, Vanessa Leach and her husband Bob and Charles “Chuck” Evans and his wife Pam. Nine grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, twelve step grandchildren and sixteen step great grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Massey Funeral Home in Jackson, NC with Rev. Gregg Parrish officiating.
The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.
