Mr. Elbert Leo Warren age 87, of Murfreesboro, NC passed away Friday, August 14, 2015 at his home.
Mr. Warren was born August 19, 1927 in Halifax County, NC, the son of the late William Jesse Warren and Sadie Ricks Warren. He was also predeceased by his wife, Sarah Cushing Warren and a son, James S. Jordan.
He was a veteran during World War II and also the Korean War. He was a retired building contractor.
He is survived by his daughters, Beverly Merritt (Chris), Brenda Piland (Wayne), Linda Vaughan and Connie Adams (Ray). Eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, August 16, 2015 at 4:00 PM at Riverside Cemetery in Murfreesboro, NC with Rev. Joseph Futrell officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Massey Funeral Home in Jackson, NC from 7:00 until 9:00 PM.
